Sophie Cunningham turns heads after announcement away from Indiana Fever

Sophie Cunningham continues to grow her portfolio. She has secured deals with big brands like Adidas, Arby’s and Sun Cruiser, among others.

The Indiana Fever guard’s popularity skyrocketed last season. Cunningham spent the first six seasons of her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury before she was traded on Jan. 31, 2025. She embraced the role of the Fever’s new enforcer, making her a fan favorite.

However, Cunningham was limited to 30 games and missed the entire playoffs last season due to a right knee injury. The 29-year-old has fully recovered and is ready to play a key role for the team this upcoming season.

Cunningham is expected to join Caitlin Clark in the starting lineup and help dictate the tempo for Indiana throughout the 2026 campaign.

Fever head coach Stephanie White expects Cunningham to support Clark in leading the team to a deep playoff run. The franchise strengthened its roster to surround the duo, alongside with Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, with more talent.

Indiana reached the second round of the playoffs in 2025, but the Las Vegas Aces defeated them in five games. Cunningham, Clark and the rest of the team are ready to return to the postseason and potentially win a championship.
