Pistons' Cade Cunningham excited to return to Detroit for Game 7 vs. Cavaliers

The Detroit Pistons have officially forced a Game 7 against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals after the team's Friday win, 115-94, on the road.

Game 7s are always exciting, and for Pistons fans, this one is going to be absolutely explosive, as the team rolls back into the Motor City to play the final game of the series in front of a hometown crowd.

The Pistons have won two of their three home games in this series so far, dropping their most recent Detroit matchup on Wednesday. Now, Cade Cunningham and company are focused on bringing home a win and moving on to take on the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Cade Cunningham is firmly focused on Game 7

Cunningham led the team in Friday's game with 21 points. After the game, Cunningham was happy but also focused on the future.

"The energy, the opportunity. Just getting back to the city with an opportunity to do something special, win in front of our home crowd and move on," Cunningham said of what he's looking forward to in Game 7.

After losing Game 5 on Wednesday, Cunningham said that the Pistons were simply going to have to win on the road and that they would do exactly that. He reiterated that plan after Friday's win.

"It's just our will. Executing the game plan, obviously," Cunningham said in the postgame news conference, "But just our will, our aggression. Getting to the ball and not wanting to lose. It takes all five guys to guard. I thought we did a really good job."

Cunningham also praised his team.

"We stick together. We stay in the moment..." he added. "When things get ugly, we come together. We talk. We get back in the moment, and then we move forward from there.

Game 7 will take place on Sunday. While the momentum is with the Pistons, the Cavaliers are out for a series win, too, so both teams will play their hearts out.
