As the franchise quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen has a very serious role with the franchise. But, the MVP winner can get silly and let loose at home, and one funny move that he makes gets under the skin of his wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld.
Allen and Steinfeld married in May 2025 and announced the birth of their first baby, a baby girl, in early April 2026.
Appearing on the podcast of retired Bills center Eric Wood, dubbed the Centered on Buffalo podcast, on Wednesday, Allen described one thing he does that drives his wife nuts.
"Anytime she tries to, like, if I got something in my beard or my mustache and she goes to reach for it, I always, like, bark and snap," he said, regarding the pet peeve.
Allen added that he picked up the habit during childhood.
"It's something my dad did," Allen said. “We’d be little kids touching the whiskers on his face and he'd be like, 'Argh.' So, every time I do that, it gets her every single time and I can't not do it. It's like, it's there for the taking, and I have to take it."
Wood then turned the tables around and asked if there's anything about his wife that bugs Allen, to which he has the perfect husband reaction.
"Absolutely nothing, Eric," Allen said with a smile. "What are you trying to do here? What are you trying to do to me?"
The Bills kick off their 2026 NFL regular season on the road against the Houston Texans on Sunday, Sept. 13.
