The Hobart-Lawrence Police Department arrested Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs and booked him into Brown County Jail on Tuesday.
Police received a complaint on Jacobs this past Saturday at approximately 9:37 a.m. ET, which spurred an investigation. Consequently, he now faces five charges: battery/domestic abuse, criminal damage to property/domestic abuse, disorderly conduct/domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation and intimidation of a victim. Four of these charges are misdemeanors, with the strangulation and suffocation charge being the lone felony.
"This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time," Michael Renkas, chief of the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department, said in a statement (h/t ESPN).
Jacobs denied these allegations with a statement through his attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld.

Green Bay began OTAs on Tuesday. Head coach Matt LaFleur is scheduled to speak with the media on Wednesday.
The Las Vegas Raiders selected Jacobs with pick No. 24 in the 2019 NFL Draft. The RB made two Pro Bowls and earned one first-team All-Pro nod in five seasons with the team.
Jacobs signed a four-year, $48M deal with the Packers before the start of the 2024 season. In two seasons with Green Bay, he has made one Pro Bowl.
Last season, he led the team in rushing yards (929) and rushing TDs (13). The Packers' backup RBs are Chris Brooks and MarShawn Lloyd. Brooks had 106 rushing yards in 2025, while Lloyd didn't play due to groin, calf and hamstring injuries.
