Not so long ago, Tyreek Hill was undeniably one of the most dangerous offensive players in the National Football League.
However, Father Time is ruthless, and after some scandals off the field and a major injury, it's not much of a surprise to see him unsigned this deep into the offseason.
Of course, that should change at some point. Training camp is just around the corner, and he might be fully healthy by then.
With that in mind, Bleacher Report's Alex Kay believes there's a home in the AFC West for him. Notably, it's not a return to the Chiefs, but a reunion with Mike McDaniel.
“The Los Angeles Chargers, looking to get over the Super Bowl hump as they gear up for Year 3 of the Jim Harbaugh era, should be in the market for Cheetah’s services,” wrote Kay.
The Chargers could use another weapon next to Ladd McConkey. The Chiefs have been tied to a reunion with Hill, given his familiarity with Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy, but the Chargers may actually give him a better shot at contention.
Moreover, Hill was at his best when playing for McDaniel, the Chargers' new offensive coordinator.
“While Hill is coming off a trying 2025 season that was cut short by a brutal knee injury, he’s only two years removed from chasing the league’s single season receiving record and can still be a major asset when healthy,” Kay added.
Whatever the case, it should be just a matter of time before the speedy wideout puts pen to paper.
He may not be as explosive as he was before his injury, but with few options to consider, and given his pedigree, someone should definitely roll the dice on him if he's fully healthy.
