Thunder have a Luguentz Dort problem and must replace him with this player

Cason Wallace and Alex Caruso should max out minutes

Wallace doesn't start, but he's played the fourth-most minutes on the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, just behind Jared McCain. He provides great defense as well, but he's actually making his outside shots, going 13-of-27 from deep. Wallace has a positive plus/minus for the series, though though not as good as Alex Caruso's +38.

Jalen Williams looked hobbled in his Game 6 return and Ajay Mitchell may miss Game 7 with a calf strain, cutting into the Thunder's vaunted depth. They've already elevated McCain to the starting lineup, but Game 7 is the time to move either Wallace or super-sub Caruso into the starting lineup. The Thunder have thrived by being able to throw out fresh and surprising combinations of players — but that might not be possible with the team down two starters.

What would make things a lot easier for the Thunder is Dort recovering his shooting stroke. Maybe he'll hit his first two shots in Game 7 and no one will remember his earlier struggles. But the longer his slump continues, the more the Spurs can cheat off Dort on defense and stymie his teammates.

It's time to try something else in Game 7. If the Thunder are going to go down, they should go down with Caruso and Wallace playing big minutes and Dort on an extremely short leash.
