For the second time this season, the Atlanta Braves have lost their superstar right fielder to the injured list.
2023 National League MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. left Tuesday's game in the fourth inning after appearing to suffer an injury while hustling out an infield hit. The team later announced Acuna had left the game with left hamstring tightness, an injury he just returned from a little less than three weeks ago.
Atlanta had no immediate plans to place Acuna on the injured list, but that changed after imaging on Wednesday, as the club announced the outfielder was placed on the injured list. Acuna will now hit the injured list with the same injury for the second time this season.

After a slow start due to the injuries and inconsistent playing time to start the season, Acuna had just begun to heat up for Atlanta.
Over his last 15 games, Acuna has posted a slash line of .283/.421/.630, good for an OPS of 1.051 with five home runs, eight stolen bases and 10 RBI.
The team announced that first baseman Rowdy Tellez has been selected to the major league roster.
Tellez slugged 11 home runs last season for the Seattle Mariners and had been hitting .259 with an .820 OPS and eight home runs at Triple-A Gwinnett this season.
