If the Missouri Tigers want to remain competitive in the loaded SEC, Eli Drinkwitz and his staff will have to be diligent on the recruiting trail and in the transfer portal.
The Tigers did pretty well this past winter in the first part. In all, 30 players transferred in to play at Mizzou. Drinkwitz's 2026 transfer portal class was ranked No. 20 in the country.
Mizzou still has work to do on the 2027 recruiting trail, but Drinkwitz and his staff picked up a huge commitment on Thursday.
Beating out the Florida Gators, Arkansas Razorbacks and Iowa Hawkeyes, Missouri landed one of the top athletes in the country.
That commitment came from wide receiver Lawrence Britt.

Britt is ranked as the No. 15 athlete in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports, because he can play wide receiver, running back and safety.
Rivals ranks him as the No. 41 wide receiver recruit in the country, though, and Missouri recruited him as a wideout. Wide receivers coach Jacob Peeler played a big role in Britty's commitment.
"I love what Coach Peeler does and how he pours into his guys a lot," Britt told 247sports. "He really is a great developer and really cares for his guys. Playing for the best receiver coach in the nation is an honor and was the best fit for me. As well as the plan for me in the offense. Coach (Chip) Lindsey's plan for me was really good, I really like how they plan on using me in the offense."
During his junior season for Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis, Tennessee, he caught 44 passes for 696 yards and 12 touchdowns while rushing for 299 yards and five touchdowns.
Britt is Mizzou's 15th 2027 commitment.
