All Fighters Make Weight for Historic UFC Freedom 250 at the White House

The stage is officially set for one of the most unique events in UFC history. All fighters successfully made weight Saturday morning ahead of UFC Freedom 250, clearing the final hurdle before Sunday’s highly anticipated card on the South Lawn of the White House.

With championship gold, history, and global attention on the line, the event now moves one step closer to becoming reality.

The main event will feature a blockbuster lightweight championship showdown between undefeated UFC champion Ilia Topuria and interim titleholder Justin Gaethje.

Both fighters successfully weighed in at the championship limit of 155 pounds. Topuria enters the bout with a perfect 17-0 professional record and looks to further cement his status as one of the sport’s pound-for-pound elite fighters.

Standing in his way is Gaethje, one of the most exciting and battle-tested competitors in UFC history, who hopes to unify the lightweight titles and reclaim championship gold. With both men making weight without issue, one of the biggest fights of 2026 is officially locked in.

Alex Pereira Chases History

The co-main event carries enormous historical significance. Former middleweight and light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira will make his heavyweight debut when he faces Ciryl Gane for the interim UFC heavyweight championship.

Pereira tipped the scales at 251 pounds, while Gane weighed in at 248 pounds. If Pereira emerges victorious, he will become the first fighter in UFC history to capture championship belts in three different weight classes.

Already regarded as one of the most accomplished combat sports athletes of his generation. Pereira now has an opportunity to further elevate his legacy on one of the biggest stages imaginable.

Historic Setting Near the White House

The official weigh-ins took place at the event’s host hotel in Washington, D.C. Ahead of the ceremonial weigh-ins scheduled for Saturday evening at the Lincoln Memorial. The ceremonial festivities are expected to draw thousands of fans and provide one final opportunity for fighters to face off before competition begins.

The backdrop only adds to the significance of the event. UFC Freedom 250 will be held on the South Lawn of the White House. Making it one of the most ambitious productions ever attempted by the promotion.
