The Pittsburgh Steelers have a chance to go all the way next season thanks to veteran, MVP-winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers being back in the fold. But it's far from a sure thing, and the Steelers still have some holes to fill to make it happen.
The last time the Steelers were at, and won, the Super Bowl was in 2009. That's quite a drought. But they're already coming from a strong place. The Steelers were in the top spot in the AFC North last season. They can ride that momentum into 2026.
To make a Super Bowl run a reality, though, they would really benefit from figuring out their problem at left tackle. If they fix that, they can protect Rodgers and give him some extra time to make the right decisions on the field.
In a piece published on Tuesday from Bleacher Report, Brent Sobleski urged the Steelers to "solve left tackle" before the new season starts.
Sobleski said, "The Steelers legitimately need to address left tackle since Broderick Jones' status remains unclear due to a neck injury. Troy Fautanu moving from the right to left side is the most logical step, though the signing of Taylor Decker should be considered as well."
Of all the little issues left on the Steelers' roster to fix, and we say "little" because the lineup is looking pretty good, left tackle is the most important. Signing Decker would actually make perfect sense. He left Detroit still at the top of his game. A one-year deal with Decker could make all the difference for Rodgers and the Steelers.
