The Atlanta Dream are becoming a nightmare for the rest of the WNBA.
On Saturday, Atlanta remained red-hot with a historic win over the Indiana Fever. Forward Angel Reese became the fastest player in league history to 1,000 career rebounds, and the team set a single-game franchise record for points in the 113-96 blowout victory.
The Dream (11-4) have won three in a row and five of their last six, with the offense leading the charge. They've scored over 100 points in each game during the current win streak, the longest streak in franchise history.
Three of the organization's five highest-scoring games ever have come in June. The Dream tied for their second-most points in a game during a 109-77 win over the Washington Mystics on June 6. On Thursday, Atlanta put up 108 points in a 108-101 win over Indiana.
Guard Rhyne Howard led the way in Saturday's 17-point win, scoring a team-high 24 points on 6-of-15 shooting, including 4-of-10 from beyond the arc. All five starters scored in double figures, with guard Allisha Gray adding 22 points and forward Naz Hillmon chipping in 19. Reese, acquired via trade with the Chicago Sky during the offseason, finished with 18 points and eight rebounds, while guard Jordin Canada posted a 12-point, 12-assist double-double.
The prolific offensive performance nullified Fever guard Caitlin Clark's big game. She led all players with 26 points on 11-of-18 shooting, although she struggled following the first quarter, scoring 13 points with seven turnovers over the game's final 30 minutes.
Saturday's historic game revealed what Atlanta's capable of, showing a team with the talent necessary to win a WNBA championship. Everyone in the starting lineup is capable of filling the box score, and thanks in large part to Reese, the Dream are also the league's top rebounding team, ranking first in both offensive and defensive rebound rate (h/t Her Hoop Stats).

The Dream have become a force to be reckoned with, tying the Las Vegas Aces for the league's second-best record and only 1.5 games behind the Minnesota Lynx (13-3) for first. Based on its play of late, Atlanta is comfortably among WNBA's top championship contenders. For a franchise seeking its first, this year's squad still has plenty more history to make.
