The San Francisco 49ers have had enough of Brandon Aiyuk's antics.
However, they have yet to find a trade suitor for the former All-Pro wide receiver, and that's not likely to change any time soon.
As Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox pointed out, the 49ers would probably take any offer they can get for Aiyuk.
Then again, with the way he approached his recovery and — more importantly — his standoff with the team, it's hard to believe any team would be interested.
“If a team wants to add San Francisco 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk, it can likely do so at a bargain price,” Knox wrote. “The question is whether any teams will be truly interested in Aiyuk, even at a bargain price. It remains unclear just how Aiyuk’s recovery has progressed, and he didn’t exactly paint himself as a positive influence when he publicly attacked the 49ers earlier this month.”
Aiyuk has gone the extra mile to get as much attention as possible, and he's already posed with a Washington Commanders hat and, in another video, yelled: "Go Commanders!"
He clearly wants to team up with his former quarterback and college teammate Jayden Daniels.
The Commanders could use a player like him, assuming he can still play at a high level.
That said, they shouldn't be in much of a rush to give up assets to get him, knowing the 49ers may have no choice but to ultimately cut their losses, release him and let him be someone else's problem.
Aiyuk was a rising star and a promising wideout, but he's left plenty to be desired with the way he's handled this entire situation.
