The 'First-overall NHL Draft picks' quiz

With the first pick of the NHL Draft, the Toronto Maple Leafs did the expected by selecting Penn State forward Gavin McKenna. After playing three years in the Western Hockey League, McKenna scored 15 goals and dished out 36 assists for 51 points in 35 games with the Nittany Lions this year. 

The Maple Leafs won the Draft lottery after missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2016-17, and they haven’t won multiple series in one postseason since 2001-02. After adding one of the most exciting prospects in years to an offense that already boasts Auston Matthews, Leafs fans will hope they are close to slaying their postseason demons.
