As training camps approach in July, the NFL free-agent market has several high-profile veterans remaining unsigned. It features proven contributors who could provide immediate help or depth. Among the intriguing names are five-time All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill and more top wide receivers.
Here are five free agents worth monitoring over the next month:
Hill, 32, was released by the Miami Dolphins in February as part of a salary-cap maneuver tied to his recovery from a major knee injury sustained in Week 4 of the 2025 season. Hill underwent surgery to repair a dislocated knee and torn ligaments, including his ACL. Hill’s speed, big-play ability and proven production make him an interesting but risky target. A short-term or incentive-heavy deal appears most probable given his age and injury timeline.
This would be a reunion with the Chiefs alongside quarterback Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid, where he would add explosive elements and familiarity to an average receiving group.
This landing spot features former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, who coached Hill. It's a potential logical fit.
The Commanders might seek his veteran presence as a complement to Terry McLaurin. A short-term deal would provide young star quarterback Jayden Daniels a lethal option.
Diggs, 32, posted a solid campaign in 2025 with the New England Patriots, leading the team with 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. The Patriots released him in March for salary-cap reasons after just one season, leaving the veteran available on the open market as training camps approach. Teams seeking a reliable veteran target could benefit from his experience and toughness.
Washington Commanders:
Diggs was born and raised in Maryland and went to the University of Maryland. His roots have fueled speculation about a homecoming with the Commanders, where he could provide insurance behind emerging talent and play in front of his home fans.
The Falcons stand out as another ideal fit, pairing him with Drake London under new head coach Kevin Stefanski, who worked with Diggs during his tenure with the Vikings.
The Raiders don't have a top-tier receiving core with Jalen Nailor as their current WR1. Diggs could bring in experience, sure hands and the ability to expand new head coach Klint Kubiak's offense.
After a decade with the Detroit Lions, Decker, 32, requested his release following the 2025 season, during which he posted a strong 89.3% pass-block win rate despite some career-low moments in protection. Known for his toughness, physicality and intangibles, the veteran provides immediate starting-caliber stability and leadership along the offensive line.
The Rams are in an "all in" phase and have long prioritized protecting their quarterback and maintaining a competitive offensive line. They could see Decker as a low-risk addition to bolster an offensive front that has dealt with inconsistency.
Miami Dolphins:
With a new regime in place, a new quarterback and a lackluster offensive line, Decker’s experience and reliability would provide a steady presence to stabilize the Dolphins’ trenches.
The Steelers are known for valuing gritty, high-character veterans, and it could be a logical destination where Decker could anchor or compete along the line while adding leadership to a younger unit.
After recording 72 receptions, 727 yards, and five touchdowns with the Commanders in 2025, where nearly two-thirds of his receiving production came post-catch, Samuel, 30, became a free agent. The physical and versatile wideout excels in schemes that emphasize catch-and-run opportunities and motion. Samuel remains a high-upside addition for offenses seeking a dynamic weapon who can line up inside or outside and contribute in the run game.
Los Angeles Chargers:
The Chargers have emerged as a strong landing spot, where he could reunite with offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel and complement quarterback Justin Herbert alongside younger receivers like Ladd McConkey.
Las Vegas Raiders:
Samuel would be an ideal fit in Kubiak's scheme. With a young and unproven receiving group, it leaves room for a proven veteran to provide stability, leadership and production.
Baltimore Ravens:
With a young core featuring Zay Flowers and a need for additional physicality and yards-after-catch production in the passing game, Baltimore could use Samuel’s versatile skill set as a complement to quarterback Lamar Jackson’s dual-threat ability.
