Steph Curry to take role in trying to lure LeBron James to Warriors

What seemed crazy just a couple of years ago might become a reality pretty soon.

LeBron James has told the Los Angeles Lakers that he won't return after eight years with the organization, becoming an unrestricted free agent for the first time in nearly a decade.

Multiple teams are keeping close tabs on the four-time NBA champion, with the Golden State Warriors as one of his most aggressive suitors.

According to NBA insider Brett Siegel, even Stephen Curry will actively participate in the recruiting process to get him to the Bay Area.

"League sources tell ClutchPoints that both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green will be directly involved with attempting to lure LeBron James to the Warriors in free agency," Siegel shared on X. "Internally, sources say the Warriors firmly believe they can make their LeBron dreams a reality."

Curry and the Warriors beat James' Cleveland Cavaliers three times in the NBA Finals.

Ironically, Curry has been the main obstacle to James cementing his legacy as the undisputed greatest player of all time.

Likewise, James spoiled Curry's record-breaking season, leading the first team to come back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the 73-win Warriors in 2016.

This looked like something that would only be possible in video games, but after teaming up in the Olympics, perhaps James won't mind sharing the court with his old nemesis for what will most likely be the final stretch of his career.
