The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James are parting ways after eight seasons. It's going to be weird to watch the Lakers without LeBron on the court, and it'll be even stranger to see him wearing a different team's jersey.
On Tuesday, the two parties officially announced that they're going their separate ways.
Now, of course, the big question is where James will land. Only a handful of teams can afford him, but he's such a legend that he's still drawing a lot of interest, even at a high price tag. His list of potential suitors got shorter on Wednesday, though, according to a new report.
On Wednesday, NBA correspondent and insider Marc Stein of The Stein Line reported that the San Antonio Spurs are out of the race to sign James. That makes sense, because the team just signed Tobias Harris, who was last with the Detroit Pistons.
"The Spurs' deal with Tobias Harris slams the point home, but league sources say San Antonio is not expected to pursue LeBron James," Stein stated in a post on X.

He also mentioned that Denver Post Nuggets beat writer Bennett Durando is reporting that the Nuggets are interested in signing James, along with Golden State, Cleveland and Miami.
So, it appears to be down to four teams for James. No matter where he lands, there's going to be a ton of anticipation surrounding his first game with that new franchise.
