LeBron James free-agency saga might be down to two teams

For the fourth time in his career, LeBron James is the hottest name in NBA free agency.

Even at 41, multiple teams are actively recruiting the four-time NBA champion for the final stretch of his career.

Nevertheless, he will most likely only consider a handful of options, as he's reportedly looking for happiness over money at this point.

Considering that, The Athletic insider Nick Friedell argued that he may only be happy in Golden State or Cleveland.

LeBron James might be torn between two teams.

"It's about a 50/50 right now. I think it's Golden State and Cleveland. I don't see another team that makes more sense because, on a strictly basketball standpoint, it's San Antonio," Friedell said on 95.7 The Game. "But if you want basketball happiness...There's no better place to do that than here (Golden State)...The storybook ending is Cleveland."

Friedell argued that the Warriors might have the upper hand because of James' friendship with Draymond Green and chemistry with Stephen Curry.

Also, the Warriors are used to dealing with big egos and star power on and off the court, and Steve Kerr is the type of coach who lets his players be themselves.

Of course, they can't compete with James' ties to his hometown, and going full circle with another Cleveland return would be a movie-like ending.

Whatever the case, it looks like, as much as other teams may want to join the sweepstakes, James' decision will come down to one of these two organizations.
