Aaron Rodgers gets good news in latest Steelers projection

The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to capitalize on last season, where they were No. 1 in the AFC North, but also for an even better showing. Last season, Aaron Rodgers and the team fell in the wild-card round of the NFL playoffs following a 30-6 loss to the Houston Texans, and it still stings.

But the MVP-winning Rodgers is back, and he has more help this season. It could make a significant difference for Rodgers, as he tries to get to the Super Bowl one last time before he retires.

Since Rodgers has said that this will be his final season in the NFL, the stakes are even higher. This is his last chance to win a Super Bowl, but it could happen, especially since his old buddy, head coach Mike McCarthy, is back with him.

Steelers and Aaron Rodgers get glowing prediction

In a feature from Bryan DeArdo of CBS Sports, Rodgers got some glowing words and a positive prediction about what this season could become.

"While age slowed him down, Rodgers is still playing at a relatively high level," DeArdo said. "Reunited with Mike McCarthy, Rodgers has several new weapons this season (including Michael Pittman Jr., Rico Dowdle, and rookie wideout Germie Bernard) that give him a chance to cap off his Hall of Fame career on a high note."

The idea of Rodgers capping off his career on a high note is good news for not only him but the entire Steelers franchise. The team made the moves of bringing on these new players pretty much for Rodgers, so it's likely going to be a good fit.
