The Toronto Blue Jays offense has reached an all-time low, scoring only three runs since July 3.
That includes the entire Seattle Mariners series, where the Blue Jays had the opportunity to win the series against a Mariners offense that was struggling but instead lost it.
They only scored two runs in the series, both of which were scored in the first game where they beat the Mariners, 2-0. The Blue Jays were then shutout in back-to-back games and only managed to collect four hits in an 11-0 loss on July 4 followed by a 4-0 loss on July 5.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider addressed the team's offensive funk and their lack of conviction at the plate on July 5.
"If you're trying to get after a guy's fastball, you've got to be convicted with it and take the right swings in the right areas," Schneider said.
Things didn't get any better on July 6 against the San Francisco Giants with a 10-1 loss. The Blue Jays' offensive drought continued with only three hits and a solo home run from Kazuma Okamoto.
The power regression of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has significantly impacted the team, contributing to the drop in run production. The Blue Jays are currently tied for 28th in MLB in runs scored (357) and are 25th in home runs (89) and 27th in slugging percentage (.381).
The #BlueJays' offence has fallen into the basement with this recent stretch.

They're tied for 28th in baseball in runs scored, 25th in home runs and 27th in slugging percentage.
But Guerrero hasn't been the only player struggling offensively, as Alejandro Kirk and Daulton Varsho have also been cold at the plate. Last season, the Blue Jays were gaining offense collectively as a team, and that hasn't been the case this season.
Blue Jays fans have been holding onto the hope that the team could turn things around this season, but the hope is fading. The 10-1 loss added to another frustrating night where the Blue Jays have now fallen to a season-high seven games under .500.
If the Blue Jays are unable to bounc -back from their struggles by late July, they'll have to consider dealing some of their pending free agents at the Aug. 3 trade deadline. This includes Kevin Gausman, George Springer and Varsho.
As a team, they have batted .163 in their last seven games and have gone from being one of the best teams last season at hitting breaking balls to being one of the worst teams in MLB at hitting them this season. On top of the offensive woes, the Blue Jays rotation has also struggled and they have only gained reliability from Dylan Cease and Trey Yesavage in the rotation. But the lack of run support has surely not helped.
The Blue Jays will have Spencer Miles starting in game two of the series on Tuesday against the Giants, his former team. Miles has been one of the Blue Jays' most reliable pitchers this season, boasting a 4-1 record and 2.83 ERA across 54 innings pitched.
