Where will LeBron James land in 2026? That's the question of the moment.
Ever since he parted ways with the Los Angeles Lakers, people are buzzing about his landing spot and throwing out every possible spot. Well, not every spot, since James has said he wanted to be a contender, but any team with a chance has been thrown into the gossip mill.
One of the teams that has been linked to James more often than not is the Golden State Warriors. They have Steph Curry, one of the top players in the NBA right now, and Curry even reached out to James with a pitch.
There are some reasons James may not be able to resist the idea of going to the Warriors. Now, former Warriors star Andre Iguodala is chiming in with his reasons to believe James will go to Golden State.
Iguodala thinks the James and Curry combination could be great, but more importantly, he thinks it's a testament to Curry becoming one of the greatest players of his generation. If James wants to play alongside him enough to head to the Warriors, that says something.
"As I've been saying since 2013, Steph Curry, no one understands how great he is," Iguodala told ESPN's Dave McMenamin on Friday.
He added: "He's like, 'Steph Curry, if he's going to get another one of the greatest players of their generation to play on his team, what does it say about him?'"
As for the excitement behind the James free-agency frenzy, Iguodala is all smiles about it. He says James deserves the attention he's getting and that it's good for the sport.
"He's very much so deserving of it, and it's the opportunity or even the thought of it," he said. "You can just feel the excitement from the fans."
