NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Thomas Annunziata was taken to an area hospital after his No. 1 TRICON Garage Toyota caught fire during Saturday's LiUNA 150 at Lime Rock Park, according to the Fox Sports 1 telecast.
Annunziata was running second during a caution period and looked to be in contention for the win when his truck began to smoke and then caught fire, forcing the 21-year-old from Colts Neck, New Jersey, to exit his vehicle quickly.
Annunziata got out of his truck quickly before safety crews surrounded it to put out the fire and tend to the young driver.
Annunziata finished the race in 29th, completing 79 of 100 laps. He was looking for a weekend sweep after winning Friday's ARCA Menards Series race at the Connecticut road course.

Saturday was only the second career Truck start for Annunziata, who made his series debut at Lime Rock in 2025, finishing 15th. The talented prospect has made 18 starts in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series and 18 in the ARCA Menards Series, winning two races at the ARCA level.
Grant Enfinger went on to win Saturday's race, holding off Landen Lewis to cap a chaotic day at Lime Rock that featured several cautions in the race's second half.
