LeBron James could have a date in mind for his decision announcement

While most NBA free agents and teams wait for his decision, LeBron James remains radio silent.

The four-time NBA champion has drawn interest from at least half a dozen teams, but they've only met with his agent, Rich Paul. With interesting pitches to consider for what will most likely be his final contract, James doesn't seem to be in a rush to make a decision.

However, with two scheduled podcast appearances at Fanatics Fest in New York on Thursday and Friday, NBA insider Marc Stein believes James might announce his decision at some point during those streams.

“Another pertinent question we should be able to answer imminently: How meaningful are LeBron's scheduled live podcast appearances on Thursday and Friday in New York City as part of a Fanatics event?” wrote Stein.

James will record a live episode of his "Mind the Game" podcast with a guest appearance from Tyrese Haliburton, and he'll shoot an episode of his "The Shop" show on Friday.

James and his camp have always been extremely intentional with every move. He knows how to maximize his media pull and leverage, and that would be the perfect setting to control the narrative and share his plans for the final stage of his career.

Given how he dealt with free agency when he first left the Cleveland Cavaliers and all the backlash and ripple effect it led to, this would certainly be an almost poetic way to let the world know where he's taking his talents to.
