Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry made his elevator pitch to forward LeBron James during "Good Morning America" on Wednesday.
Curry joined the program to discuss winning the ESPY Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award for his philanthropic work in the San Francisco community. He then offered James his spiel on joining the Warriors. The guard's message was simple: If you want to play somewhere with great basketball and plenty of golf courses, then Golden State could be the place for "The King."
"The Bay, we know how to win, it's beautiful weather, great golf, and I know he's into that," Curry said.
James has been spending plenty of time on the green this summer. Warriors forward Draymond Green joined James and comedian Kevin Hart at a golf course in New York on Tuesday to aid Golden State in its recruiting efforts.

Green, Curry and James could golf together even more if he signs with the Warriors in free agency. They could also play exciting basketball.
"The USA experience that we had, the battles that we've had over the years, we just know how to play basketball and I think he would enjoy the idea of what it means to finish your career the right way," Curry said.
Curry and James played for Team USA during the 2024 Paris Olympics, leading the squad to a gold medal. He spoke positively of that experience, saying it was "everything and more."
Teaming up with Curry for a full season could be enticing for four-time champion James. But after Golden State was eliminated in the play-in tournament last season, he may not be sure it gives him the best chance to win one more ring before he retires.
With that in mind, the 41-year-old is keeping his options open. Five teams are reportedly pursuing James, including the Warriors. The others are the Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers. Returning to Cleveland — where he played from 2003-10 and from 2014-18 — may feel like the perfect way for the Ohio native to end his career.
Curry's pitch should remain compelling to James. Perhaps they can discuss it over a game of golf, or putt-putt if neither has time to play 18 holes on a real course.
