Giants' John Harbaugh hire is looking smarter by the day

When the New York Giants locked in John Harbaugh, there was little doubt that it was an A+ move. This is a guy who's already won a Super Bowl. He's had 18 years of experience as a head coach in the NFL with a stellar record. And many thought his previous team was crazy to let him go. It was a no-brainer decision by the Giants.

But, it may turn out even better than expected. Harbaugh is bringing the kind of knowledge, skill set and wisdom to the Giants that can only help exponentially. It's early, and the team has yet to take the field. So, it's not worth placing big bets on yet. But, this move could absolutely revolutionize the modern Giants franchise. They need it.

The move is also already getting rave reviews, and those reviews keep getting better.

Giants get more props for John Harbaugh hire

Nick Brinkerhoff of USA Today gives the Giants props for hiring Harbaugh and says it's his favorite decision from them during the offseason.

"The Giants have just two winning seasons in the last 10 years and five of those seasons ended with four wins or fewer," he notes in the piece. "Harbaugh's time in Baltimore might've run out, but he brings credibility and stability to an organization in desperate need of that."

The Giants are a Super Bowl-winning franchise. They just haven't looked like it lately. That could change under Harbaugh. If it doesn't change under him, one has to wonder if it will happen at all.
