Raiders provide much-needed Maxx Crosby update at training camp

As expected, all eyes were on Maxx Crosby in the Las Vegas Raiders' first day of training camp.

The superstar pass-rusher had already revealed he would be a full-go for camp, though the team might take things slowly with him after missing some time in the offseason. Then again, it seems that he didn't miss a beat with that knee injury that cost him a trade to the Baltimore Ravens.

According to NFL analyst Bryant McFadden, the superstar pass-rusher looked as sharp as always on Day 1 of training camp. He clearly has a big chip on his shoulder.

Maxx Crosby looks healthy and ready for the Raiders

“Maxx Crosby is healthy,” McFadden said. “He’s energized. He’s fired up. It feels like the whole trade debacle between the Ravens and the Raiders has given Maxx Crosby a newfound sense of motivation to show the entire NFL that he’s still one of those special pass rushers and a terror on the defensive side of the ball.”

Per McFadden, Crosby definitely doesn't look like someone any team would have concerns about. He was as explosive and swift as he's always been, and the Ravens might come to regret their decision.

“Watching him today, it was kind of confusing to think back to some of the things that were being said about his injury because he’s moving around like he’s in Year 2 of his professional career,” McFadden added.

The Raiders welcomed Crosby back with open arms, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's in the clear. Barring a surprise, they won't be a playoff-caliber team this season, so they might reconsider moving him if he plays well enough to gain strong trade interest around the league. Judging by the early returns, it seems that will be the case.
