Giants suspending payment to Harrison Bader after bizarre scooter accident

Harrison Bader's first season with the San Francisco Giants has not only been a massive disappointment, but it is also rapidly turning into a mess. So much of a mess that the Giants announced on Friday that they are suspending payment to him until he can resume performing activities for the club following a bizarre scooter accident over the weekend.

Bader has been sidelined since late May due to a foot injury, and recently got himself into some hot water because of a late-night scooter accident that he has apparently not been fully transparent about with the team.

According to eyewitness reports, Bader was said to have ridden his scooter into the back of a San Francisco firetruck just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning, which then ran over his foot, causing a major injury. 

It is the same foot that had sidelined him.

Bader was also reportedly seen drinking at several bars before the incident.

The Giants did not publicly comment on the issue while they gathered further information. They are still trying to gather more, but announced on Friday that payment to Bader is being suspended.
