Caitlin Clark adds another chapter to her legacy with Fever-Fire news

Caitlin Clark is no stranger to setting records, but that doesn't mean it's getting old. Every time Clark notches a new record, it's a reason for the WNBA star and her team, the Indiana Fever, to celebrate.

On Friday night, Clark and the Fever trampled over the Portland Fire in a 112-98 win on the road. Clark didn't exit the game without making history, either.

On Saturday, the Fever shared that during the showdown, Clark recorded her fourth career triple-double with 26 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds.

Yahoo Sports took to social media to add, "Caitlin Clark is now third all-time in WNBA history in career triple-doubles (4) following the Fever's win over the Fire."

According to the Fever's official website, Clark is "now tied with Sabrina Ionescu for the third most triple-doubles in WNBA history, doing so in her 78th game played."

The site adds: "Caitlin Clark’s 26 points and 10 assists helped her become the fastest player in WNBA history to eclipse 1,500+ points and 650 assists, doing so in 78 games, surpassing the previous record held by Sue Bird with 116 games. Clark now has 1,524 points and 651 assists across her career."

Also, Clark and Kelsey Mitchell each scored more than 25 points for the seventh time, the third most by a duo in WNBA history, to make for even more milestones.

So, it was a night of big moments for Clark and the Fever. Perhaps it will happen again, and soon. Their next stop is Sunday against the Minnesota Lynx in Minneapolis.
