Teammates help Caitlin Clark dodge potential suspension in Fever win over Fire

The Indiana Fever keep rolling.

Led by Caitlin Clark's fourth career triple-double, Stephanie White's team took down the Portland Fire with another high-scoring output, climbing to the No. 4 spot with a 112-98 win.

The Fever point guard was brilliant from start to finish, dropping 26 points on nine shots. However, this could've been a costly win for her team, as she was a bit too close to an automatic one-game suspension.

Clark got heated after a no-call on an off-balance three-pointer right before the end of the first quarter. Fortunately for her, her teammates were there to talk some sense into her.

Aliyah Boston and Tyasha Harris saved Caitlin Clark from a suspension

As shown in the clip, Clark immediately went at the official's face and complained about the no-call.

Then, as she tried to approach the referee, Fever guard Tyasha Harris pushed her back before Aliyah Boston also jumped in and got her right to the bench.

Referees usually have a short leash for the emotional Clark, who's another technical away from an automatic one-game suspension.

Clark may have used that anger as motivation for the remainder of the game. She finished the night with 26 points, 10 boards and 10 dimes to push her team's winning streak to five games.

The Fever can't afford to have the face of the franchise miss games, more so because she can't keep her cool.

Then again, that's just part of the Caitlin Clark experience. She's unapologetic about her emotions, and in all honesty, it should be just a matter of time before she's T'd up again.
