The Chicago Bears have received some very tough injury news early on in training camp.
The good news is that it is early in training camp. An injury like this one happening during the season would be devastating. At this point, we haven't even seen preseason games yet, so there is time for this player and the Bears to recover.
The player is safety Coby Bryant, who will miss eight to 10 weeks due to a left knee injury he suffered on Monday at practice.
This is according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
"It always sucks to see," tight end Colston Loveland said of the injury, according to Courtney Cronin. "That's part of it. You know, he's tough, he's a dog. He's going to be fine."
Bears safety Coby Bryant is expected to be sidelined 8-10 weeks due to a hyperextended knee, bone bruise and small fracture that he suffered at today’s practice, per sources. No surgery is expected to be needed. pic.twitter.com/LxaZFt4hPP

If there's any good news here for Bryant and the Bears, it's that he isn't expected to need surgery.
The Bears gave Bryant a three-year, $40 million contract this offseason after he spent the first four seasons of his career with the Seattle Seahawks.
This past season, he helped the Seahawks win the Super Bowl with 39 tackles, one forced fumble, four interceptions and seven passes defended in the regular season. In the playoffs, Bryant notched 10 tackles and two passes defended.
