Three NFL players who could be traded during the 2026 season

With the NFL offseason winding down, roster movement has slowed considerably. However, once the regular season begins, the trade market typically comes alive.

Injuries create new needs, playoff teams look to strengthen their rosters and rebuilding organizations often move veterans or expendable young talent for future draft capital. These three players could find themselves on the move before the 2026 trade deadline.

Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns

The Browns are not projected to have a successful season in 2026, especially after trading Myles Garrett, the best defensive player in football. Cleveland could therefore look to move some of its veteran players at the trade deadline, and Jerry Jeudy would likely generate plenty of interest around the league.

At 27 years old, Jeudy can still be a very productive receiver. Just two years ago, he recorded 1,229 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 2024 despite inconsistent quarterback play. He remains a polished and efficient route runner who thrives in the slot.

The Browns also have a promising young receiving corps. 2026 second-round pick Denzel Boston has really impressed throughout training camp, while 2026 first-round pick KC Concepcion brings strong route-running ability, speed and yards after catch ability. Cedric Tillman and Isaiah Bond provide additional depth. That could make Jeudy expendable if Cleveland receives a strong offer. He would be an ideal No. 2 receiver or slot option for a playoff team looking to upgrade its passing attack.

James Conner, Arizona Cardinals

The most likely player on this list to be traded is James Conner. He appeared in only three games in 2025 before suffering a season-ending ankle injury and now enters the final year of a team-friendly contract. That could make him an attractive target for a playoff team searching for an experienced running back.

Arizona's backfield is loaded. The Cardinals selected Jeremiyah Love with the third overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and view him as their franchise running back moving forward. Tyler Allgeier is an established backup, while Trey Benson is another young player with upside.

With several capable options already on the roster, Conner stands out as a logical trade candidate. A healthy Conner could provide an immediate boost to a team that suffers an injury or needs a proven veteran for a playoff push.

Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots

Kayshon Boutte has flashed plenty of potential during his time in New England, but finding consistent playing time won't be easy. Still only 24 years old, Boutte remains an elite deep threat with outstanding ball skills and has the talent to become a productive receiver with a larger role.

Boutte followed up his 2024 campaign with 551 receiving yards and a career-high six touchdowns in 2025, proving he can still be a productive weapon when given opportunities. Despite that production, the Patriots receiver room is crowded following the additions of A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs. DeMario Douglas has established himself as the team's speedy slot receiver, Kyle Williams continues to impress and Mack Hollins provides value as a blocker and versatile veteran.

That could leave Boutte battling for snaps despite his upside. If New England receives a strong offer, he could become the odd man out. Boutte has the tools to be a high-end No. 3 receiver and could thrive with a fresh opportunity on a team looking to add depth at wide receiver.
