Caitlin Clark had five words to address her potential suspension

It looks like the third time's the charm for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

After unsuccessfully trying to get two previous technical fouls rescinded, the WNBA has done right by one of its stars by walking back on an automatic one-game suspension. Referee Genesis Perrymond called a technical on Clark after she inadvertently collided with her. It was Clark's eighth technical of the season, which would've resulted in a one-game ban.

However, Clark seemed to like her chances in this appeal. Shortly after the game, she told ESPN's Holly Rowe that she fully expected the call to be rescinded, showing her confidence with a blunt five-word response.

“I’ll see you on Tuesday,” the former No. 1 pick said.

“She said I ran into her. I've already watched it on the tape, so we'll let the league decide. It wasn't intentional or anything,” explained Clark.

"We take our bond serious...Our backcourt comes from love. I want her to be great and vice versa."

Upon further review, the league concurred. It was an incidental contact, so there was no reason to keep Clark off the court for Tuesday's pivotal matchup with the New York Liberty.

Clark and Kelsey Mitchell led the way as Stephanie White's team moved to 20-12 and past the Atlanta Dream. However, after a two-game skid and with the playoff race heating up, it can't afford to drop the ball against the Liberty on Tuesday and the Dallas Wings shortly after.

Clark is averaging 21.6 points, 8.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game, so the team definitely can't afford to have her miss games at this crucial point in the season, more so with a suspension.
