What the NASCAR Cup Series Chase bubble looks like after Iowa

Following Ty Gibbs' win in Sunday's Iowa Corn 350, there are only three races left in the NASCAR Cup Series regular season. Here's what the Chase grid looks like through 23 races.

13. Joey Logano (+89)

Logano appeared to be headed towards a top five finish Sunday at Iowa before a slow pit stop forced him to claw his way back to a 14th-place finish. He's sitting pretty in regard to the cut line, but Sunday's race was a big missed opportunity for Chase seeding purposes. 

14. Bubba Wallace (+68)

Like Logano, Iowa was a missed opportunity for Wallace, who led 35 laps but only finished 12th after a pit road speeding penalty forced him to also stage a comeback. He gained eight points on the cut line but could use a big race at Richmond on Aug. 15 to feel safe.

15. Shane van Gisbergen (+47)

SVG stumbled at an inopportune time on Sunday, finishing 30th after spinning out. He lost 10 points to the cut line, but if his strong run at North Wilkesboro is any indication, Richmond should be a decent track for him. 

16. Austin Cindric (+29)

Cindric also had a bad run at a poor time on Sunday, finishing 29th on a day where he was the only Penske driver without elite speed. It's time for the No. 2 team to find speed, or Cindric won't be above the cut line much longer. 

17. Ryan Preece (-29)

Preece struggled mightily early, running around 30th early in the race. However, he battled back to finish 20th, which all things considered, wasn't a horrible result. Preece gained nine points on the cut line at Iowa. 

18. Ross Chastain (-47)

Chastain put together one of his best races of the season on Sunday, finishing seventh and accumulating 43 points. He'll need similar runs over the next three races to make the Chase, but Sunday was a good start. 

19. Brad Keselowski (-48)

Keselowski struggled all day and finished 27th. He still gained two points on the cut line but desperately needs to find speed at Richmond, or his Chase hopes will be snuffed out. 

20. Erik Jones (-50)

Thanks to Cindric's poor day, Jones only lost six points to the cut line after a Lap 4 crash relegated him to a 35th-place finish. His Chase hopes are still alive, though it'll be hard for the No. 43 team to not wonder what could've been had Jones not wrecked out at Iowa.
