Texas LB Rasheem Biles holding a grudge toward the Ohio State Buckeyes

Texas Longhorns linebacker Rasheem Biles was a 3-star athlete out of Pickerington, Ohio, in the recruiting class of 2023.

Pickerington is less than a half-hour drive away from Columbus, Ohio, which is, of course, the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Biles had 13 offers and eventually committed to Pitt out of high school, but the Buckeyes weren't interested in recruiting him as a 3-star.

And then Biles figured things out at Pitt. He started 19 games between his sophomore and junior seasons and became a second-team All-ACC player for the Panthers.

He hit the transfer portal in search of another opportunity ahead of his senior season, and wouldn't you know it, Ryan Day and the Buckeyes reached out to see if he had any interest in coming back home.

Biles held a grudge, though, so he instead committed to the Texas Longhorns, where he's a 2026 Phil Steele preseason First-Team All-America selection.

Texas plays Ohio State in Week 2, and the former 3-star recruit is looking forward to facing the team that passed on him in high school.

What were his thoughts when OSU reached out when he entered the portal?

“I told my mom, I ain't really trying to be in Columbus. I ain't trying to be a Buckeye. They didn’t want me out of high school," Biles told the media on Thursday.
