Andre Cisco, Samuel Womack remind Jets defenders it is possible to intercept a pass

The New York Jets made the wrong kind of history during the 2025 season when they became the first team to ever go an entire regular season without intercepting a single pass. It seems logical to assume that they will get one that counts this season, but until they do, it is going to be an infamous note for a defense and franchise that has long been a punchline. 

They were at least able to get a reminder of what it is like to intercept pass on Saturday night in their preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With the Steelers driving midway through the second quarter, second-year quarterback Will Howard telegraphed a pass to wide receiver Roman Wilson that allowed veteran safety Andre Cisco to jump the route and pick off Howard's pass.

Cisco was able to put together a nice return before Howard made the tackle, likely preventing a pick-six.
