Ryan Sieg earns first NASCAR win in O'Reilly Series race at Daytona

In his 424th career NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series start, 39-year-old Ryan Sieg earned his first career victory in Friday's Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway.

The Tucker, Georgia, native was leading at the white flag, and neither Carson Kvapil nor Austin Hill were able to generate a run in the race's waning moments to beat Sieg to the checkered flag.

"This is incredible," Sieg told CW Sports. "Unbelievable, especially winning here at Daytona. I've been coming here since I was a baby. To do it the way we did it, it's amazing. This has been a long time coming. We frickin' did it.

"Definitely just watching both lanes. We had a good enough car to do it. Super excited to do it here at Daytona."

Sieg, who drives for his own team, is the fifth first-time winner in the O'Reilly Series in 2026.

Hill, Kvapil, Anthony Alfredo and Brandon Jones rounded out the top five, with Justin Allgaier, Brennan Poole, Harrison Burton, Jeb Burton and Sheldon Creed completing the top 10.

The race went into overtime after Rajah Caruth spun from second off the front bumper of Allgaier with three laps left in regulation.

Caruth, Sam Mayer and Taylor Gray claimed the final three spots in the Chase after Brent Crews and William Sawalich were both involved in crashes. Parker Retzlaff also sewed up a Chase spot on Friday.

Notable results

Other notable finishers include Leland Honeyman Jr. in 13th, Retzlaff in 14th, Nick Sanchez in 16th, defending series champion Jesse Love in 20th and Natalie Decker in 22nd.

Mayer, Gray, Caruth, Crews and Sawalich finished 25th, 26th, 32nd, 35th and 37th, respectively. Daniel Dye finished last (38th).

The O'Reilly Series Chase will begin at Darlington Raceway on Sept. 5.
