Tua Tagovailoa opens up on 'no fun' Dolphins exit after harsh reception

For six years, Tua Tagovailoa was the Miami Dolphins' hope of ending their playoff victory drought.

For better or worse, he had some pretty impressive moments and anchored one of the league's most explosive offenses, but the lows were also too low.

Ultimately, the decision to move on was as obvious as it was financially constraining, and Tagovailoa's weird pressers didn't do much to help his case with the fan base.

That's why, after returning to Hard Rock Stadium for a preseason game and being welcomed with boos and jeers, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback finally owned up to how things ended with him.

Tua Tagovailoa has no hard feelings

"It wasn't fun being in my position, but outside of that, I wasn't playing up to the standard I had been playing in years past. You have to be real with yourself, and that’s what it was, bottom line,” the quarterback said. “(Head coach Jeff) Hafley and (general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan) Sully were really good in that process with me."
