Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll closing in on remarkable accomplishment

Arizona Diamondbacks right-fielder Corbin Carroll is a home run shy of recording his fourth consecutive 20/20 season.

In the Diamondbacks' 10-6 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Friday, Carroll hit his 19th home run of the season, which makes him one step closer to reaching 20 home runs on top of his already 20 stolen bases.

In 2023, he hit 25 home runs and a career-high 54 stolen bases, followed by 22 home runs and 35 stolen bases in 2024 and a career-high 31 home runs and 32 stolen bases in 2025.

Carroll also has led MLB in triples for the past three seasons and currently leads the league with 16. No other MLB player has more than seven.

He is also just four triples and a home run away from joining the 20-20-20-20 club (doubles, triples, homers, steals). Talk about consistency for the three-time All-Star who is just 26 years old.

Corbin Carroll continues to be a valuable asset for the Diamondbacks

Carroll continues to be a dominant force for the Diamondbacks, and while it's been a down season for him in terms of home run production, RBI and stolen bases, his 4.5 fWAR ranks third in the National League (NL).

As well, he's a threat on the basepaths; his baserunning value of 8 sits in the 100th percentile, and his sprint speed of 29.7 feet per second ranks in the 97th percentile.

In his 2023 rookie season, when he also won Rookie of the Year, he successfully hit a home run against 18 different opponents. Kazuma Okamoto has become the third player to join both Pete Alonso and Carroll in accomplishing the feat.
