NASCAR Cup Series Chase field set after Daytona

Following Saturday's Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona, the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Chase field is set. Here's what the Chase standings look like ahead of the Sept. 6 Chase opener at Darlington Raceway. 

1. Denny Hamlin (+25)

Hamlin already had the No. 1 seed sewn up going into Daytona and finished 11th on Saturday, coming up one spot short of an 18th top 10 on the season. 

2. Ryan Blaney (-25)

Blaney finished 33rd on Saturday after crashing on the final lap, but he's sure to be a major player in the championship race. It'd be shocking if he's not in title contention at Homestead on Nov. 8. 

3. Tyler Reddick (-35). 

Reddick stole the No. 3 seed from Ty Gibbs in the closing laps with a clutch third-place finish and nearly winning his sixth race of the season. 

4. Ty Gibbs (-40)

Gibbs also finished 34th after a last-lap crash, which allowed Reddick to shockingly overtake him for third in the standings. The regular season was a good one for Gibbs, who earned the first two wins of his career at Bristol and Iowa. 

5. Chase Briscoe (-45)

Briscoe led 10 laps on Saturday and finished 14th to cap what was a solid summer from the No. 19 team going into the Chase. 

6. Christopher Bell (-50)

Bell wasn't much of a factor on Saturday and finished 16th, but he's caught fire recently and should be a title contender. He's also looking for his first victory of the season over the final 10 races. 

7. Kyle Larson (-55)

Larson ran up front late but had to pit with his teammates in Chase Elliott and William Byron, which took him out of contention. He also crashed on the final lap and finished 31st. Like Bell, Larson is still searching for his first win of 2026 as he tries to defend his 2025 title.

8. Chase Elliott (-60)

Elliott led 19 laps on Saturday and was very fast, but finished 23rd. He needs a good result to kick off the Chase at Darlington after a rough summer stretch. 

9. Joey Logano (-65)

Surprisingly, Logano only led two laps on Saturday and finished 18th. Regardless of what happened at Daytona, however, he's come on strong as of late. 

10. Chris Buescher (-70)

Buescher was in position to win Stage 1 on Sunday before he spun and broke a toe link on his No. 17 Ford. He finished last (40th), 15 laps down. 

11. Daniel Suarez (-75)

Suarez didn't run well all night, but found his way to the front late and finished second after a chaotic final lap. 

12. Carson Hocevar (-80)

Hocevar was in contention late but crashed on Lap 156, completing a horrendous four-week span for the No. 77 team that leaves it with no momentum going into the Chase. 

13. William Byron (-85)

Byron, a three-time winner at Daytona, was very fast in Stage 3 but only finished 22nd. He's also winless this season and could use a win early in the Chase. 

14. Bubba Wallace (-90)

Wallace clinched a Chase berth after Stage 1 on Sunday but only finished 20th after pitting for fuel just before the final restart. 

15. Austin Cindric (-95)

The Chase cut line got dicey for Cindric in the closing laps, but he brought his No. 2 Team Penske Ford home in sixth and sewed up a Chase berth. 

16. Ryan Preece (-100)

Preece clearly has a flair for the dramatic at Daytona, as he won his way into the Chase and scored career win No. 1 on Saturday. Regardless of how his final 10 races go, Saturday's race was an unforgettable moment for the No. 60 team.
