Tiger Woods sparks comeback speculation with his latest move

Despite his legal troubles, Tiger Woods keeps sparking speculation of another possible comeback.

Woods on Tuesday was spotted taking some swings at the Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, N.J., via TMZ. The club is set to host Woods’ Nexus Cup charity event later this week.

This is the first time the 50-year-old has been spotted swinging a club, at least publicly, since his March rollover accident and arrest. His driver’s license has been suspended for five years, but there is nothing legally prohibiting him from taking part in golf events.

Woods sought treatment in rehab in the aftermath of his latest arrest. He has never actually shut the door on a potential return to golf, at least on a limited basis. There was some thought that he was going to try and play in The Masters before the accident derailed that, and he did mention that one of the reasons behind his decision to seek treatment was to help stabilize both his personal and professional lives.
