Browns' Jerry Jeudy linked to two potential trade destinations

Jerry Jeudy might be a name to watch if the Cleveland Browns decide to start dealing.

Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox included Jeudy on his latest NFL trade big board, with the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs listed as two potential landing spots.

For Cleveland, the reasoning isn't complicated. If this season gets away from the Browns, adding draft picks becomes more important than holding onto every veteran on the roster.

Jerry Jeudy could become a Browns trade chip

Jeudy has been here before. His name popped up on Knox's trade board before the season. The bigger question is what Cleveland wants its receiving corps to look like a year from now.

Jeudy had the best season of his career in 2024, catching 90 passes for 1,229 yards. He followed that with 602 yards last season and opened 2026 with only two catches for 26 yards against Jacksonville.

Cleveland also has younger receivers it needs to evaluate. If those players continue getting opportunities while the losses pile up, Jeudy becomes an obvious veteran to at least take calls on.

Knox estimates a conditional 2027 fourth-round pick could be enough to get a deal done.

That's where New England and Kansas City enter the picture.

Patriots and Chiefs could come calling

The Patriots' need changed dramatically in Week 1.

A.J. Brown injured his ankle and is expected to miss several weeks. New England made a major investment in giving Drake Maye another weapon when it acquired Brown, and losing him this early leaves a sizable hole in the passing game.

Jeudy wouldn't replace Brown, but he wouldn't have to. He'd give Maye another proven receiver while keeping New England from putting everything on its younger options.

Kansas City is different.

The Chiefs have been mentioned as a Jeudy destination before, including on Knox's previous trade board. Adding another veteran target for Patrick Mahomes is the type of move that makes more sense for a contender than it does for a Cleveland team potentially looking toward 2027.

There's also the money. Jeudy carries a $1.5 million base salary this season, making him easier for another team to fit into its plans.

None of this means the Browns are shopping Jeudy or that the Patriots or Chiefs have called Cleveland.

But another slow start has put the Browns in a familiar position. If Cleveland starts thinking about the future before the trade deadline arrives, Jeudy is exactly the type of veteran whose name could keep coming up.
