Packers QB Jordan Love drops 'disappointing' take after blowout loss

The Green Bay Packers didn't give fans what they were hoping for in the home opener at Lambeau Field on Thursday night.

Green Bay lost to the Atlanta Falcons, 35-14, in a blowout. The Packers jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Falcons scored 27 unanswered points to take a 20-point lead into the fourth quarter.

After the loss, Packers quarterback Jordan Love summed it up perfectly.

"It's a very disappointing feeling right now, how we went out and played today," Love said, via Ryan Wood of USA Today.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur also called it a "humbling night" while speaking to reporters postgame.

Love finished with a 28-of-53 clip, throwing for 312 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. However, the Packers offensive line was an obvious issue, and the lack of a running game (17 rushing yards) was also amplified in the loss.

The Packers can’t block and there’s no clear way that improves.

They don’t have a running game and who knows when or if their RB1 is coming back.

Jordan Love still has faith despite the struggles

Through three games, the Packers' only win came in Week 2 in a 20-17 victory over the New York Jets. Love has a pair of touchdowns in each game, though he had just 145 passing yards in the win over New York.

Despite all of that, Love says they aren't "throwing in the towel" yet.

"There's still a lot of football ahead of us. Nobody is throwing in the towel," Love said.

The Packers will look to bounce back in Week 4 with a showdown against Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
