College football rankings: AP Top 25 Poll results ahead of Week 5

The AP Top 25 teams poll is out after a hefty round of Week 4 college football games that are now officially over. As always, there is movement here, but nothing too crazy. Still, it's fun to see where each team lands after another batch of games.

So, Week 4 is officially in the books, and the latest AP Top 25 has lots of movement to chew on.

AP Top 25 Poll brings some changes

Texas is still sitting comfortably at No. 1 in the AP Poll after surviving a road test against Tennessee. Arch Manning and the Longhorns didn't exactly get an easy afternoon in Knoxville, but they did enough to keep the top spot. Texas received 62 first-place votes, while Georgia held No. 2 with six first-place votes. Notre Dame remains at No. 3 after another strong showing.

Florida also made one of the week's biggest jumps, climbing into the AP's top 10 at No. 8. It's the Gators' first appearance in that part of the rankings in five years, giving the program something to be super happy about after a busy and action-packed Saturday.

The Week 4 results also reshuffled the middle of the pack, where a few teams that looked promising a week ago now have some explaining to do. That's college football for you. One Saturday can make a team look like a contender, and the next can leave everyone reaching for the reset button.
