Notable injury update emerges on LSU LB Whit Weeks

Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers bounced back from a disappointing loss at Ole Miss with a 35-6 win over Texas A&M in a big statement.

Unfortunately, LSU star linebacker Whit Weeks suffered a leg injury, and he will miss a chunk of time.

On Sunday, it was revealed that Weeks suffered a fractured right leg in the win over Texas A&M.

The silver lining is that Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reported that it is not viewed as season-ending, and he added that there is "optimism" that Weeks returns to the field in 2026.

Unfortunate development for LSU:

Another update emerges on Whit Weeks

Shortly after that, Zenitz had some more intel on the injury to the Tigers' star linebacker.

"The initial hope is that he could possibly return in the next 4-6 weeks or so but there will be a better feel for the recovery timetable and whether that’s realistic coming out of his surgery tomorrow," Zenitz wrote on X.

Weeks threw his helmet in frustration before going into the medical tent, and he was spotted later with a boot. Kiffin said after the game that it was "unfortunate," although he didn't have an update at the time regarding his star.

Weeks has 11 tackles this season, and his status will be a big one to monitor going forward for Lane Kiffin and LSU.
