Conflicting reports emerge on Deion Sanders’ starting QB for Colorado

Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes team has a 2-2 record against a massive showdown in Boulder against the No. 12 Texas Tech Red Raiders.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Isaac Wilson will start at quarterback for Week 5 after he replaced Julian Lewis in the Week 4 loss to the Baylor Bears.

Colorado is currently expected to make a change at quarterback and start Isaac Wilson at QB this week against No. 12 Texas Tech, sources tell @CBSSports.

However, right before that, Sanders himself said that he hadn’t made a decision as to who the starting QB would be.

Here’s another quote from Sanders, who said, “If” Wilson gets the nod.

Colorado stunned Georgia Tech in the opener with a 14-13 win, then had a blowout win against Weber State, 52-21, before back-to-back losses against Northwestern and Baylor. The Colorado game against Northwestern was a 41-7 defeat.

Lewis was a highly-touted recruit who was once recruited by USC, but he threw for just 733 yards with 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions through four games before being replaced by Wilson in Week 4.

Isaac Wilson is also the younger brother of former New York Jets QB Zach Wilson.
