The New York Giants are winning even without franchise quarterback Jaxson Dart on the field, and that's a huge testament to the work head coach John Harbaugh has done during his short time with the team. This, of course, is Harbaugh's first season with the Giants, and he's already proving that he's the right fit.
This team is 3-1 coming out of its riveting win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4. Sure, the Cardinals aren't the toughest of opponents, but that's not the point. The point is that the Giants are winning even without their franchise quarterback.
So, the Giants are in first place in the NFC East, and it's the first time they've been there in their division since 2015. That's more than a decade ago.
After the game, Harbaugh was fired up. Can you blame him? It's exciting stuff.
"Great locker room after the game. Really, really fun to be a part of that. That's what winning is. That's what winning teams do: they find ways to win games," Harbaugh told reporters after the game. "That's why they're winning teams, and I'm proud of these guys for that. Also proud of their faith. I'm just going to be honest with you. I was praying. I was praying, and I guess God came through."
The final score was 36-24, so it was a definite win. Without Dart, quarterback Jameis Winston is still helping this team win, and they also have J.J. McCarthy waiting in the wings.
