Chiefs could be eyeing a reunion with former star Tyreek Hill

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 4-0 on Sunday with a 30-27 win over the previously unbeaten Las Vegas Raiders, but the win came with bad news on the injury front.

Kansas City wide receivers Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton were each injured in the win. The extent of Rice's injury is not yet known and for Thornton, his injury was gruesome and will keep him out for quite some time.

The receiver room has all of a sudden become thin for the Chiefs, but according to reports on Sunday night, a possible reunion with a former star receiver is something that could be happening in the near future.

A reunion with Tyreek Hill could be on the horizon

According to Michael Silver of The Athletic, Kansas City has reached out and gotten in contact with Drew Rosenhaus, the agent of wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Silver reported that he expects the Chiefs to have a strong interest in Hill when he becomes healthy.

"I expect the Chiefs to have strong interest in a Tyreek Hill reunion when the free agent receiver is healthy enough to play," Silver said. "He's believed to be targeting a November return. Players I talked to in the locker room (Mahomes, Kelce, Chris Jones & others) are all for it."

Hill took to social media with a very brief but intriguing post after Kansas City improved to 4-0 on Sunday.

Tyreek Hill hasn't played football in over a year

Hill hasn't appeared in a game since September 29, 2025, when he suffered a torn ACL, a dislocated knee and multiple ligament tears while a member of the Miami Dolphins. The injury was gruesome, and it was very clear from the moment it happened that Hill was going to miss quite an extended period of time.

It eventually forced him to miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season. He was then released by the Dolphins in February of this year and has remained a free agent ever since.

If healthy, Tyreek Hill would once again become a major weapon

If he can get back anywhere close to his old self, Hill could become a game-changer for the Kansas City offense.

He would return to the same quarterback and most of the same coaching staff that was in place when he was traded from the Chiefs in 2022. A reunion between the two sides would be an exciting thing for Kansas City fans to witness and may very well make it the favorite in the AFC.
