Kids who will be playing on Sundays: Stocks of Indiana WR Nick Marsh, Oklahoma State QB Drew Mestemaker booming

Each week, Yardbarker spotlights college football stars, some of whom will be playing on NFL Sundays. With that in mind, here are five Week 6 standouts.

Indiana Hoosiers junior WR Nick Marsh

Marsh saved the Hoosiers in Saturday's road game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

In the fourth quarter, Marsh caught two touchdowns — a 75-yarder and 44-yarder — erasing a 17-6 deficit and securing a 20-17 win for Indiana (6-0). The WR finished with six receptions for a game-high 187 yards and two TDs.

Stepping up against Nebraska (5-1) only improves Marsh's draft stock. In his Saturday column, The Athletic's Dane Brugler noted the Michigan State Spartans transfer was already in the first-round discussion and has only "boosted his chances of landing in the top 25 [of the draft]."

"Big, physical and fast receivers like Marsh will always be fashionable in the NFL," Brugler wrote of the 6-foot-3, 210-pound wideout.

Oklahoma Sooners  senior WR Isaiah Sategna III

Sategna broke the hearts of Texas Longhorns fans in the Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

On a 1st-and-10 at the Texas 48-yard line, Sategna stayed in bounds on a 20-yard backshoulder throw from quarterback John Mateer. Two plays later, Sooners kicker Tate Sandell drilled a 47-yard field goal to seal a 27-24 upset win over the Longhorns (4-1). The senior WR finished with five receptions for a team-leading 64 yards.

Sategna's size (5-foot-10, 185 pounds) limits his ceiling as an NFL prospect. As of Sunday, NFL Mock Draft Database projects him as a seventh-rounder. That said, his speed could make him a potential gadget guy in the pros. The pass-catcher was ranked as the No. 4 track prospect in the country in 2022 before choosing football.

"NFL scouts and talent evaluators are already salivating over Sategna's speed on the outside," wrote CBS Sports' Brad Crawford in March 2026.

Oklahoma State Cowboys sophomore QB Drew Mestemaker

On his updated QB board, ESPN's Jordan Reid ranked Mestemaker as his No. 1 passer in the 2027 class. He showed why in a 42-28 home win over the Central Florida Knights.

Mestemaker completed 19-of-28 passes (67.9 percent, above average) for 304 yards and two TDs. He also rushed for a TD.

"The Mestemaker tape vs. UCF is exceptional," Reid wrote Sunday on X while watching his film. "Two of my favorite plays here. He sees the middle of the field so cleanly and understands how to access those windows."

NFL aficionados know that attacking the middle of the field is a must-have for QBs. Few in college football do it better than it Mestemaker. Per Pro Football Focus, he's 74-of-99 passing (74.7 percent) for 1,027 yards, nine TDs and two interceptions on throws between the numbers.

South Carolina Gamecocks junior QB LaNorris Sellers

Where has this version of Sellers been?

In a 38-19 road win over the Florida Gators, he had a season-high five TDs (four passing and one rushing). More importantly for scouts, he displayed much better accuracy, completing 23-of-35 passes (65.7 percent) for 279 yards.

Sellers, once considered a potential No. 1 pick, fell out of first-round discussions after South Carolina (3-3, 1-3 SEC) lost its first three conference games. Tankathon lists him as QB10. However, he's clearly getting more comfortable in the system of new offensive coordinator Kendal Briles, which will help him keep improving his stock.

"He's playing on time and making more NFL throws," wrote The Ringer's Todd McShay in his Sunday column. "It's a promising sign. Let's not write off Sellers just yet."

Notre Dame Fighting Irish senior edge-rusher Boubacar Traore

Traore remains a wrecking ball for Notre Dame. In a 58-7 home win over the Stanford Cardinal, the pass-rusher had one sack, an interception and forced a fumble.

Sure, crushing Stanford (2-4) won't impress anyone, but Traore has been one of the nation's most dominant defensive players. Per PFF, he's tied for 16th in the nation in pressures (21).

PFF ranked Traore as prospect No. 100 in preseason, but it noted that his first step and size (6-foot-5, 253 pounds) give him a chance to be "drafted well above his ranking."
