The Alabama Crimson Tide are figuratively banged up coming off their first loss of the 2026 season.
That was a game that they dropped to the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs, 20-17. It was a battle of two heavyweight SEC teams and there's no shame in losing that contest by three.
As such, it's no surprise that Alabama stayed at No. 6 in the national rankings, despite the loss.
More heartache could be on the way for the Tide, though, because they're also literally banged up.
Specifically, star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams is expected to miss some time due to injury.
On Monday, head coach Kalen DeBoer revealed that Coleman-Williams is dealing with several injuries and it sounds like the Tide aren't expecting him to play in Week 7's clash at No. 14 Tennessee.
“Has got a couple things going on. Got to work through an injury with knee that’s been kind of going on,” DeBoer said, per Daniel Hager of On3. “We’ll deal with that. Got the head issue, as well. Gonna address that, even the lower extremity there, this week. Pretty good chance we wouldn’t have him here this weekend. Probably be week-to-week after that.”
Just before the end of the first half, Coleman-Williams slammed onto the ground in the end zone after elevating and going up high to try to make a touchdown catch. His leg ran into a UGA defender and when he tried to get back up, he awkwardly fell back down on the knee.
To his credit, he came back into the game in the second half after having to be carried off the field, but a big collision in the second half of the game took him out completely.

The junior from Mobile, Alabama, finished the game with three catches for 39 yards. Though he didn't play the entire game, he was Alabama's leading receiver against Georgia.
In total this season, Coleman-Williams has caught 23 passes for 415 yards and four touchdowns. He's a big-play machine, averaging 18 yards per catch.
