The NFL now knows the verdict in the civil case of former Kansas City Chiefs/Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
On Tuesday, a Miami jury returned a mixed verdict in the assault and battery civil trial against Hill, finding the WR liable on two counts of battery but not liable for the eight remaining allegations made by his estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro. The jury awarded Vaccaro $500K in compensatory damages but denied her claims for punitive damages.
Per ESPN's Xuan Thai, the NFL told the outlet last week that the Hill situation remains under "review of the personal conduct policy." When it concludes its review, the league may suspend Hill.
A recent report revealed that several teams, including the Chiefs, could pass on the free-agent WR after admitting in the trial that he pushed his wife during an altercation. Another general manager said he's ruled out signing the eight-time Pro Bowler.

"[Hill is] a no-go for us," the GM told Casino.org's Jason La Canfora (h/t Yardbarker's Zac Wassink). "Who's going to sign him with the domestic stuff going on, and the (divorce) trial? No way. Nobody is going to pursue that except maybe (Chiefs head coach Andy Reid)."
Hill's legal problems, though, may give the Chiefs pause before reuniting with the WR. Even his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, acknowledged Hill's playing's situation is "fluid" during a recent interview with Miami-based sportscaster Josh Moser.

Further complicating matters, is Hill's health. The WR hasn't played since 2025 after suffering a severe left knee dislocation and multi-ligament tear in a "Monday Night Football" contest against the New York Jets. In July, he admitted he has no power in the injured leg.
Hill's aiming to return to the league, but that's far from a certainty. A potential suspension and a lengthy recovery from a significant injury could make him unsignable in the eyes of many teams.
