For the first time in either of their NBA careers, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum warmed up on opposite sides of the floor before an exhibition game on Saturday. The situation made for a somewhat awkward moment between the two ex-teammates.
Tatum and Brown did not even acknowledge each other on the floor prior to the game between the Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers in Boston. Even though the two were just feet apart at one point, they did not even turn to glance at each other, simply sticking to their warmups.

One wouldn’t necessarily expect the two to be friendly, especially since this is a preseason game. However, given the apparent tension that lingers between the two, it may speak volumes.
Tatum played 27 minutes in the game for the Celtics, while Brown did not play at all.
Much will be made of the relationship between the two stars all preseason, and it will extend into the regular season. Their first game against each other is set for Nov. 10 in Philadelphia.
